No. Snapdown is a $12 USD one-time purchase with a lifetime license for one person and up to two Macs.

Can I try it before buying?

Do my screenshots ever leave my Mac?

No. Recognition runs locally on Apple silicon. Your captures, Markdown, and history stay on your Mac unless you choose to share them.

Which Macs are supported?

Snapdown requires macOS 14 or newer and a Mac with Apple silicon, starting with the M1 family.

What happens when I get a new Mac?

Enter the same key on the new Mac. If both seats are already in use, Snapdown automatically replaces the least recently used activation.

Does Snapdown work offline?

Yes. Captures are processed locally and a network outage never blocks an already activated copy of the app.

What structure can Snapdown preserve?

Snapdown is designed to retain useful headings, paragraphs, lists, reading order, and tables. Results can vary with image quality and complex layouts.
